99.9% of Students at Yonsei University Korean Language InstituteI have decided that, for now, I will delete this text document. I still have a copy saved somewhere just in case I want to bring it back.
You may ask yourself "Why did he do this? Why did he delete this article?"
The reason is that I think this particular text document discusses people of different national/ethnic/racial backgrounds and their stereotypes, not always in a flattering way. The stereotypes are generally accurate and I stand by them because they were made after years of observation, living in Korea, but they are not politically correct. Several paragraphs were also written in anger, and it shows. Not only is the subject matter controversial, but people visiting my Web site have mentioned this document several times, and one person even asked if he/she could mirror it on his/her Web site, so I know lots of people are viewing it. The risk that someone could be offended by it and go "vigilante" on me is too high. Fortunately, I have never received an e-mail from anyone saying they were offended by it, but it is just the kind of article that could get me an angry stalker somewhere, or attract the attention of Korea's hate group, the "Anti-English Spectrum." I have therefore decided to take it offline for now. I will either sanitize it or simply not upload it again, at all.
